VIRTUAL CONSULTATION FAQ

If your question can be answered in just a few sentences, for example, "are you available for an appointment this Saturday?" or "how much is the filing fee to register the copyright in a novel?", please just email us, and we will answer for free. However, if we believe that you are in a more complex situation, we may recommend you to schedule a virtual consultation.

The first appointment on your legal matter will always be hosted by a licensed attorney. If we take you case, appointments thereafter may be held by an attorney or a paralegal, depending on the subject matters of the meetings. We always let you know in advance who you will meet with. 

Payment must be received by He's Law Office, PLLC prior to the starting time of your appointment. Otherwise, your appointment will be cancelled, but you will not be obliged for any penalties, and you are welcome to book again.

If we take your case, please do not make upfront payment for any appointment after the first one for your case—for cases taking no more than one month to close, you will pay everything upon receiving your final invoice for the case; for cases taking over a month to close, you will pay for what we have done each month upon receiving each monthly invoice. 

You may also request to track your accumulated expenditure on your case before an invoice becoming available.  We may be able to make reasonable estimates on your future costs, however, the actual amount due is always on your invoice only.

Please use the "MAKE PAYMENT" button on top of this website, which takes credit/debit cards. Please email us if you have to use other payment methods due to online payment issues, and we will reply to you soon. 

Your payment will be deposited to our firm's IOLTA account first and not be withdrawn or otherwise transferred until your service is completely rendered.

If you have paid for your appointment, and for whatever reasons, either you or we fail to attend the appointment, your payment will be fully refunded within 5 business days following your originally scheduled appointment. 

We wait for you for up to 10 minutes past our scheduled appointment starting time, and if you fail to show up, we will cancel your meeting and fully refund you. You may reschedule another appointment. If we successfully held a meeting, there will be no refund. 

If technological issues caused an interruption of more than 5 minutes during the appointment, whether on your side, on our side, or by force majeure, you will only be billed the actual duration of the meeting at $3.33 per minute.

If our meeting reveals that the complexity of your legal matter exceeds our firm's capabilities, we may refer you to another firm, and you are entitled to a full refund for your appointment. 

If you are not satisfied with our services during the appointment, please let us know within 5 business days following your appointment date, and we will do our best to amicably resolve this issue with you. You are advised to seek independent legal counsel.

For information security reasons we do not record client appointments, but don't worry! Every client is entitled to a summary of all key information, advice, conclusions, and next steps after every appointment. The summary will be in PDF format and emailed to you within 48 hours after the appointment at no additional charge.

您每个案件的首次会面都会由持照律师主持。

如果我们承接了您的案件，接下来的会见则取决于内容和目的可能由律师、也可能由法律助理主持，我们会在每次会见前告知您谁将与您会面。

请在预约的会面时间开始前完成支付，否则您的预约将被取消，无违约金，我们欢迎您重新预约会面。 

 如果我们已经承接您的案件， 请不要在接下来的会见开始前直接付费——如果您的案件在一个自然月内结案，您将收到一份最终账单，包括案件中的所有费用项目，届时您需结清案件全部费用；如果您的案件无法在一个自然月内结案，您将每月收到当月账单并支付，当月账单中包括当月产生的所有费用。

您也可以在账单生成前就提出追踪您在案件上已经累计的开支。我们可能向您提供未来费用的合理预估，但最终、准确的金额仅以账单为准。

请使用网站顶端的支付按钮。如您因技术问题不得不选择其他支付方式，请提前向我们发邮件，我们将第一时间回复您。直到我们完成您的服务前，您支付的费用都会被储蓄在本律所的IOLTA账户里，不会被转出。 

如您已成功支付会见费，但因任何原因您或我们无法完成会见，我们将以您的支付方式在原本会见日期后五个工作日内向您全额退款。 

预定会见时间开始后，我们将最多等候您10分钟，如您未参与会见，我们将取消您的会见并全额退款，您可以重新预约。

如成功会见，我们将不退款，但例外是，如果您的案件或法律问题超出我们的能力，我们将全额退款。 如因技术原因或不可抗力导致会见被干扰超过5分钟，您将只需为实际享受的会见分钟数按每分钟$3.33支付，其余将被退款。

如您对我们在会见中的服务不满，请在会见结束后五个工作日内告知我们，我们将尽力与您友好解决争端。   

为保障信息安全，我们不会对客户会见进行录像，但是没关系！针对每个客户的每次会见，我们都会整理一份会见纪要，包括会见中的所有关键法律信息、法律建议、法律结论、接下来要做什么等等。会见纪要通常在会见结束后48小时内以PDF格式邮件发送给客户，客户无需为此额外支付费用。
